The Marquee section of a Shopify store provides an engaging platform to showcase dynamic content that captivates visitors' attention and encourages interaction. With its scrolling or looping display, the Marquee section is ideal for highlighting promotions, announcements, or important messages in a visually striking manner. In this section, we'll explore the various settings and customization options available for the Marquee section, empowering merchants to create captivating displays that effectively communicate the brand's message and drive engagement.
The Settings Overview offers a comprehensive examination of all customization options available within the 'Marquee' section, enabling merchants to tailor the Marquee section to suit their specific needs and preferences.
Pause on hover: A setting that pauses the marquee slideshow when hovering over it on the desktop version or when the user taps on the screen for the mobile version.
Section padding: Gives the user the options to choose the additional space above and under the input text. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Small, Medium, Large or None.
Speed: Gives the user control over the speed of the marquee slideshow. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Slow, Medium, Fast or None. If 'None' has been selected, the slideshow will be turned off.
Text size: Gives the user control over the text size of the marquee slideshow. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Slow, Medium, Large.
Color scheme: With that setting, the user can choose the color scheme of the Marquee section. For more information om setting up the color schemes, refer to Theme settings → Colors → Schemes.
Text: Enter a text for the block that will appear on the marquee.
Image: Select an image for the block, and it will appear beside the text.
Image svg: Here the SVG code of the image could be directly put in.
Link: With that setting, the user can choose one of the store links or enter an external link.
Color scheme: With that setting, the user can choose the color scheme of the block. For more information on setting up the color schemes, refer to Theme settings → Colors → Schemes.
