The Featured collections section of a Shopify store is a powerful tool for showcasing curated assortments of products, promoting seasonal or thematic collections, and guiding visitors towards relevant product categories. By strategically highlighting key collections, merchants can capture the interest of their audience, drive engagement, and ultimately increase sales. In this section, we'll explore the various settings and customization options available for the featured collections section, empowering merchants to create visually compelling displays that effectively showcase curated product offerings and encourage exploration.
The Settings Overview offers a comprehensive examination of all customization options available within the Featured Collections subcategory, enabling the creation of visually appealing and strategically curated collection displays that resonate with the audience and drive conversions.
Make section full width: Allows the user to use the full width of the screen (small gaps are left at both ends that cannot be absorbed).
Media ratio on desktop: Gives control over the media ratio for the desktop version.
Media ratio on mobile: Gives control over the media ratio for the mobile version.
Color scheme: With that setting, the user can choose the color scheme of the Featured collections. For more information on setting up the color schemes, refer to Theme settings → Colors → Schemes.
Heading: Enter a heading for the section.
Caption: Enter a caption for the section.
Heading size: Gives control over the heading font size of the section. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Small, Medium or Large.
Header content alignment: Gives control over the horizontal positioning of the heading. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Left, Center or Right.
Button label: Choose a label for the button.
Button link: With that setting, the user can choose one of the store links or enter an external link for the button.
Cards:
Heading size: Gives control over the heading font size of the cards. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Small, Medium or Large.
Collections content alignment: Gives control over the horizontal positioning of all the card content. One of three possibilities is to be chosen: Left, Center or Right.
Number of columns on desktop: Gives the user the option to choose how many collection columns to be presented on the desktop version. It can vary from 2 to 4.
Collection: Gives the user the option to select a collection to present.
Image on desktop: Select an image for the slide on the desktop version.
Image on mobile: Select an image for the slide on the mobile version.
Heading: Enter a heading for the block.
Description: Enter a description for the block.
Link: A link can be added so that when the customer clicks on the collection image or the heading, to go to the desired link. Note: It's an optional setting. If a collection has been selected and no link has been added, the link to the selected collection will be assumed by default.
