Customize Theme → Theme Settings → Cart
The shopping cart is a critical component of the e-commerce experience, serving as the virtual basket where customers collect items before proceeding to checkout. With the 'Cart' feature, merchants can customize and optimize the cart functionality on their Shopify store to streamline the shopping process, enhance user experience, and ultimately increase conversions.
Cart type: Gives the user the choice between two layout styles: Drawer (please see the first illustration below) and Page (please see the second illustration below).
Enable order message: Enables or disables the order message box.
Enable upsell products on the card drawer: With that setting, the user can enable or disable the appearance of recommended products. The recommended products can be generated automatically or manually for each product. Manual customization can be done through the app 'Search & Discovery', which can be found in the app store for free.
Enable free shipping bar: Enables or disables the free shipping bar.
Show additional checkout buttons: Enables or disables the appearance of the additional checkout buttons, which are in relation to the payment methods available in the store. For more information, please see the following link.
Free shipping bar threshold: Enter the minimum amount for free shipping.
Free shipping bar progress text: Enter a text that states the amount needed to reach free shipping.
Free shipping success text: Enter a text that states the free shipping amount has been reached.
Free shipping bar empty text: Enter a text for free shipping when the card is empty. This setting will take effect only on the 'Cart page'.
Upsell products heading: Enter a heading for the upsell / recommended products.
Button link in an empty cart: With that setting, the user can choose one of the store links or enter an external link, which will appear when the cart is empty.
Color scheme: With that setting, the user can choose the color scheme of the subcategory. For more information on setting up the color schemes, refer to Theme settings → Colors → Schemes.
